We have now been able to go through all the responses to our consultation on the proposed YSPL/SYSCL merger and the player survey. We have collated a summary of these in a single document, along with our responses and proposed action.
As previously announced, of the 59 club responses receiveds, 57 were in favour of the merger.
We will organise Zoom conferences over the next few weeks for any players or officials who want to talk more about the issues raised. These will be organised on a divisional basis. We will publicise the details of these shortly.
We are now working on the formal proposal document, that will be published in plenty of time for consideration and voting at Extraordinary General Meetings of the two leagues, that will be organised after the end of the season.
There is also an article on Cricket Yorkshire about the proposed merger, which may be of interest.
If you would like any more information about these proposals, please contact Roger Pugh - 07887 732176, yspl.chairman@outlook.com or David Ward - 07753 866144, i_ward@sky.com.
